Background
Since the original draft of “The Implementation of DW20 Decentralized Native Currency” was released on May 26, 2023, the DW20 project has been under development for more than two years. The chainless project airdrop was launched on December 24, 2023. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the early participants for their support, which has helped us continuously improve the product according to market demands. At present, the product is close to the official version and is about to enter the large-scale promotion stage. From the launch of marketing promotion to the beginning of October 2025, a total of approximately 6.5 billion DW20 tokens have been distributed as promotion rewards, accounting for 67% of the 9.6 billion marketing tokens designed in the original whitepaper.
According to Article 3.1.5 of the original whitepaper, the project team has the right to adjust the airdrop allocation plan based on the project progress. As the official version of the product is about to enter the market, in order to strengthen the promotion efforts and better motivate marketers and community service providers, we propose to optimize the allocation of marketing tokens and the total airdrop amount in the original whitepaper to expand the user base and accelerate ecological development. This proposal is hereby drafted and submitted to the community for voting.
Proposal Content
This proposal aims to increase the incentives for market promotion and adjust the airdrop allocation to better promote the platform’s market development. The specific changes are as follows:
1. Adjustment of the amount of project promotion tokens:
1.1 The total amount of DW20 tokens used for market promotion will be increased from the original 9.6 billion to 30.6 billion, accounting for 14.57% of the total token supply of 210 billion, up from 4.57%.
1.2 The allocation ratio of DW20 for registration airdrops will be reduced from the original 80% to 70%, and the corresponding amount will be reduced from 168 billion to 147 billion tokens.
1.3 The number of users covered by the airdrop will be expanded from 50 million to 200 million.
2. Optimization of lock-up rules:
2.1 The gift plan for the first 7 cycles will remain unchanged in the original calculation method, and the number of participants in the 7th cycle will be increased from 780,000 to 975,000.
2.2 Starting from the 8th cycle, users with Bitcoin addresses and those without will receive the same amount of airdrop tokens.
2.3 Users with Bitcoin addresses will have a relatively shorter lock-up period to encourage more extensive participation of personnel in the crypto industry in the chainless ecosystem.
3. Handling of remaining tokens:
After the number of airdrop registrations reaches 200 million users, any remaining airdrop tokens will be included in the market promotion token pool for subsequent marketing activities.
4. Other allocations remain unchanged:
The allocation ratios of tokens for the stability fund and the core team will remain unchanged to ensure the long-term stability of the project.
Reasons and Benefits
1. Strengthen market promotion: Increasing the amount and proportion of promotion tokens will motivate more people to promote the market and serve community development, accelerate the growth of user numbers, and enhance the popularity and wider recognition of DW20.
2. Fairness and incentives: Adjusting the lock-up rules to encourage users to use Bitcoin addresses, while expanding the airdrop scope to promote decentralization.
3. Community interests: This change is based on market feedback, aiming to maximize community value while complying with the authorization of the original whitepaper.
